Two of the men arrested on Thursday evening the 7th February, 2013 during the operation on the N24 at Cahir, Co. Tipperary, as part of an ongoing investigation into dissident Republican activity will appear this evening Saturday 9th February, 2013 at the Special Criminal Court at 7 p.m.
The third man was released this afternoon without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Garda – Investigation into dissident Republican activity Co. Tipperary, 7th February 2013
Gardai have arrested three males as part of an ongoing investigation into dissident Republican activity. The men were arrested this evening (7/2/2013) during operation on the N24 at Cahir, Co. Tipperary, involving members of the Special Detective Unit, other National Units and local Garda Units.
Three men (all aged in their 30s) were arrested at the scene and a number of explosive devices were seized along with 2 motor cars. Technical and ballistic examinations are ongoing.
The men are currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act 1939 at Clonmel and Cahir Garda Stations.
