The man in his early 20’s arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Tullamore on 8/12/13 was last night released without charge.
A file will now be prepared for the information of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

At approximately 7.00pm on the 8/12/13 a male in his 30’s and a female in her 20’s were injured following a shooting incident outside a house in Cluain Darach, Tullamore by a lone gunman. The gunman made good his escape in a waiting car and the injured male and female were taken to the Midland Regional Hospital at Tullamore.
A vehicle was later found burned out near Durrow, Co. Offaly.
Early this morning Gardai from Tullamore arrested a male in his early 20’s in the Offaly area. He is currently being detained at Tullamore Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
