Gardaí at Roxboro Road are investigating an incident where a male, 26 years, received gunshot wounds to his stomach.
The incident occurred at approximately 9.30pm, Thursday 12th December 2013, at Byrne Avenue, Prospect, Limerick.
One male, 28 years, has been arrested in connection with this investigation and is currently detained at Roxboro road Garda station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939-'98.
Injured male was taken to University Hospital Limerick with non life threatening injuries.
The two 'hooded' suspects, not better described, fled in the direction of Lenihan Avenue.
