Seizure of counterfeit cigarettes, tobacco & DVD's at Balbriggan, Dublin on the 22/12/13

As part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale of contraband products, Gardaí from DMR North Divisional Task Force, Santry, seized 6,600 counterfeit cigarettes and a quantity of counterfeit DVD's at the Balbriggan Sunday Market this morning, Sunday 22nd December 2013.

During 2013 the unit have seized in excess of 60,000 contraband cigarettes/tobacco, 12,000 counterfeit DVD's/CD's and items of clothing and cosmetics, resulting in 10 arrests, all successfully prosecuted.
