The Inaugural Crime Prevention Day of Action takes place on Monday, 2nd December 2013.
Over 12,000 mobile/smart phones were reported stolen in the last year. High value smart phones are targeted by criminal gangs.
Members of the media are invited to attend this media briefing at the Garda Community Relations Department, Harcourt Square, Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 at 11am on Monday 2nd December 2013.
Sergeant Alan Roughneen will be available for interviews in relation to mobile phone theft and to discuss the Inaugural Crime Prevention Day of Action.
