Fatal road traffic collision at Cobh, Cork on the 12/12/13

Gardaí at Cobh are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the Carrigtwohill to Midleton Road (N25) at approximately 6.45p.m. today 12th December, 2013.

A male pedestrian (late 60s) was fatally injured when he was struck by a car. No other person was injured in the collision.

His body remains at the scene.

One lane of the road remains open to facilitate a Garda forensic examination.
