Fatal road traffic collision at Carndonagh, Donegal on the 30/12/13

Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision at Churchtown, Carndonagh, Co. Donegal on Monday evening 30th December 2013.

Shortly before 6pm a 70 year old female pedestrian was struck by a car. The woman received serious head injuries and was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital where she died shortly before midnight. The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, was not injured.

The scene in sealed off and Garda forensic collision investigators are carrying out an examination of the area.
