A man is due to appear before a special sitting of Gorey District Court at 11am on Sunday 4th August, following his arrest on 2nd August in relation to a drug seizure at Rosslare Europort.
Officers from Revenue’s Customs Division seized 10.26kgs of heroin with a street value of almost €1.54(subject to analysis) million at Rosslare Europort.
A 4x4 was stopped and searched by Customs at Rosslare Europort and during the search Customs officers located drugs concealed in the vehicle.
A male (63yrs) was arrested by Gardai and taken to Wexford Garda Station where he was detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice( Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
