Public assistance sought - Dublin waste recycling death

Gardaí investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered at waste recycling facility on Friday 23rd August are seeking the public’s help in identifying the last movements of the deceased.

The dead man has been identified at Heryk Piotrowski, a Polish national, aged 43 years.  Gardaí have made contact with the man’s family in Poland.


The truck in which the body was found had collected recycling bins from the centre of Dublin City. It had collected 55 bins 30 of which were the larger 1,100 Lt bins.
 

Gardaí believe that Mr Piotrowski was in the Dame Street area between 7pm and 10pm on Thursday 22nd.  There were also sightings on the South Quays in the Wood Quay/Merchant’s Quay area in the early hours of Friday 23rd.
