As part of an ongoing operation, Gardai from Carlow Garda station assisted by the Garda Dog Unit searced a house at Slate Row, Hackettstown on the 29th August 2013.
During the course of the search Gardai discovered a quantity of Methly Amphetamine with an estimated value of €90,000(subject to analysis), they also discovered a quantity of cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €20,000.
A male 37yrs was arrested on the 29th August 2013 and detained at Carlow Garda station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice ( Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. He was charged on the 30th August in connection with the seizure and will appear before a Special sitting of Carlow District Ct at 7.30pm this evening the 30th August 2013.
