Gardai in Tralee are investigating a 2 vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R577 between Scartaglen and Ballydesmond at approx 3.15pm today.
The driver and sole occupant of the car, a man in his 70’s, was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The three occupants of the second vehicle, a van, were taken to Tralee General Hospital with injuries described as minor.
This stretch of road is currently closed for an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
