Gardaí at Navan are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Kilberry, Navan, Co. Meath at approximately 9.30p.m. last night Thursday, the 15th August 2013.
A car and a moped where in collision at Kilberry, Navan and the female driver (early 50's) of the moped was fatally injured. Her body has been removed to Navan General Hospital where a full Post Mortem examination will take place. The female driver of the car was uninjured.
The road was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and has reopened.
Gardai are appealing for any persons who may have been in the area at or near the time of the collision or who witnessed the collision to contact Navan Garda station on 046 - 9036100, the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
