Gardaí in Ashbourne are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the R150 Duleek - Julianstown road, County Meath, at approximately 02.20am on Sunday the 4th August 2013.
The vehicle struck a stone wall. A male, 22 years, sole occupant of the vehicle, was conveyed from the scene to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where he was pronounced dead.
The R150 remains closed at scene for forensic collision investigation and diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was on the R150 Duleek – Julianstown road between 2.00 and 2.45am, on Sunday the 04th of August 2013, to contact Ashbourne Garda Station on 01-8010600, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666111, or any Garda station.
