Gardai have seized cannabis plants and arrested a male following a planned search in Church Cross, Skibbereen this afternoon.
As part of an intelligence led operation Gardai from the Cork West Divisional Drugs Unit search a house and land at Church Cross. Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to €120,000 (pending analysis) were seized and a male in his 60’s arrested at the scene.
The male was detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Bandon Garda Station. He was released from custody earlier this evening and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
