As part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in Cork City, Gardai have seized drugs and arrested a male following a search of a house this afternoon.
At approximately 4.30pm members from the Cork City Divisional Drugs Unit, assisted by the Garda Dog Unit, searched a house on Model Farm Rd, Cork.
During the course of the search heroin with an estimated street value of up to €100,000 and cannabis (herb and resin) with an estimated street value of up to €4,000 (all pending analysis) were recovered along with drug paraphernalia and mobile phones.
A male in his late 20’s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Mayfield Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
