As a result of the ongoing investigation into the seizure of cannabis plants worth an estimated €2.5m (subject to analysis) in Tuam yesterday the 20th April, Gardai from the Divisional Drug Unit from Galway arrested two more males(in their 30's) in the Tuam area later in the day(20th April).
They were taken to Mill St where they are being detained under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
The other two are males are still being detained. Previous release below refers.

As the result of a planned search of a premises in the Tuam area, Gardaí in Galway have seized CTwo males (aged in their mid 40s and early 50s) are being detained in Galway Garda station(Mill Street) under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
As part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs in the west of Ireland, and under the auspices of Operation Nitrogen targeting cannabis growing operations, the Divisional Drug Unit from Galway assisted by the RSU and local Gardaí this morning searched a business premises in the Tuam District where they discovered a sophisticated cannabis growing operation.
Approximately 3,000 plants (at various stage of growth) were seized, as was drug growing paraphernalia.
