Gardai in Inverin are investigating a fatal road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a motorcycle that occurred in Rossaveel, Co. Galway at approximately 9pm on the 5.04.13.
A male pedestrian in his 30’s was fatally injured when he was struck by a motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to University College Hospital, Galway. The male driver and female pillion passenger on the motorcycle were taken to University Collage Hospital Galway with injuries not believed to be life threatening.
The road to the Harbour in Rossaveel is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
