Gardai at Gorey are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision at Coollishall Upper, Gorey, Co. Wexford, on the 11th April 2013.
At approximately 10.30 a.m. a 48-year-old woman was seriously injured when the car she was driving collided head on with a 4x4 vehicle on the R772 between Gorey and Clough. She was taken by air Ambulance to Tallaght Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The driver of the second car, a man aged in his 40's, sustained minor injuries.
Forensic collision investigators examined the scene and the road has since reopened to traffic.
