Gardaí at Dunleer Co Louth are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Castletown, Dunleer (R132) at approximately 10.15pm last night (21/4/13)
A 35 year old female driver of a car (only occupant) was fatally injured when her car was in collision with another car at the above location. The 35 year old female driver (only occupant) of the second vehicle was seriously injured and taken by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
The road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.
