As part of an on-going investigation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Ronanstown / Lucan area, Gardaí carried out a search of a house in the Balgaddy area yesterday (2/4/13).
During the course of the search Cocaine (subject to analysis) with an estimated street value of €150,000 was seized together with Cannabis (subject to analysis) with an estimated street value of €20,000. A firearm and ammunition was also recovered.
A 37 year male was at the scene and is currently detained at Ronanstown Garda Station under Section 2 – Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are continuing.
