The 10th Garda ‘Supporting Safer Communities’ Campaign will take place from Tuesday 25th September to Tuesday 2nd October 2012.
This ‘Supporting Safer Communities’ campaign will primarily focus on:
* Crime Prevention/Reduction of Burglary
* Road Safety
* Supporting Victims of Crime
* Age Card Awareness
The campaign will see many local initiatives such as Garda station open days or Garda information clinics, as well as larger national events all aimed at improving community safety.
The ‘Supporting Safer Communities Campaign’ will be officially launched by Deputy Commissioner Rice from the Garda Information Stand (Stand No. 593, Row R, Block 3) at the National Ploughing Championships at Heathpark, New Ross, Co. Wexford at 11am on Tuesday 25th September 2012.
The Garda stand has become a popular feature at the National Ploughing Championships. Thousands of people come to the stand for advice on crime prevention, road safety or simply to have a photograph taken with the specialist Garda units and their vehicles.
