Gardaí are advising motorists intending to travel to the National Ploughing Championships on Wednesday 26th September or Thursday 27th September 2012 to follow the recommended routes to the event which are available on the Garda Website www.garda.ie
Motorists travelling to the event from Dublin on the M50 should use the M11 to Enniscorthy / Wexford Road.
Motorists using the M7 / M9 are advised to follow signs and exit at Junction 5 (Carlow), Junction 7 (Paulstown) or Junction 8 (Kilkenny)
Motorists using the M9 Southbound are advised not to continue to Waterford as this may lead to traffic congestion due to anticipated heavy volumes of traffic travelling to the event from the Munster region through Waterford.
