Gardai in Dundalk are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the R173 at Toprath, Carlingford, Co. Louth on the 16/9/12 at approximately 8.45am.
The 21 year old male driver and sole occupant of the car was fatally injured when he lost control and collided with a tree. He was pronounced dead and the scene.
This stretch of road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
