A male in his late 40's and a female in her 20's are scheduled to appear at a special sitting of Kilkenny District Court at 11.30am tomorrow (23.09.12) charged in connection with the seizure of drugs with an estimated street value of up to €1.5 million.
On the evening of 20.09.12 gardai from the Garda National Drugs Unit carried out searches in Gowran, Kilkenny. Cannabis resin, cannabis herb and cocaine (all pending analysis) with an estimated street value of up to €1.5 million were found.
A male and female who were arrested in the course of the operation and had been detained at Ballymun and Thomastown Garda Stations respectively under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice ( Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 are scheduled to appear before Kilkenny District court tomorrow morning, (Sunday the 23rd of September).
