Gardai at Pearse Street investigating an aggravated burglary which occurred at the Rustic Stone Restaurant at Exchequer St on the 23/9/2012 wish to appeal for witnesses.
During the incident 8 staff members were threatened by 2 armed men. The staff were tied up and locked in a room and a substantial amount of cash was stolen.
Gardai would like to talk to anyone who was in the Dame St, South Great Georges St, Exchequer St, Wicklow St, Andrew St or Trinity Street areas of Dublin 2 between 11pm and 12 midnight and who saw 2 men wearing ‘high visibility jackets’ walking, pushing or cycling 2 bicycles.
They would also like to talk to any taxi drivers who may have picked up 2 men fitting this description with or without the bikes around this area.
Gardai would also like to talk to any person who saw any cars acting suspiciously in this area, either parked or moving, around the time of the incident.
Description of suspects:
Male 1. Approximately 5' 9'' in height, heavy build, 30 - 40 years old, Dublin accent. He was wearing white addidas runners with black stripes, black bottoms, navy addidas tracksuit top with white stripes on the sleeves and a monkey hat.
Male 2. Smaller than male 1, possibly 5' 5'' - 5' 7'', very thin and gaunt wearing grey addidas tracksuit top with dark stripes, grey tracksuit bottoms, light coloured runners and a black monkey hat.
