Gardai in Tallaght are investigating a violent sexual assault which occurred, in the early hours of Sunday, the 14th October 2012.
The injured female received treatment at Tallaght Hospital.
The woman was assaulted as she was walking along Cookstown Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24 between 4.30am and 5.30am on the 14th October 2012.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of Cookstown Road between the hours of 3am to 7am on the 14th October 2012 to contact Gardai in Tallaght. In particular if they noticed any unusual or suspicious activity.
People may have been driving or walking in the area, as they made their way home after being out on Saturday night.
