Arrests in Limerick on the 15/10/12

As part of an ongoing investigation into dissident republican activity, Gardaí in Limerick this morning the 15th October 2012 carried out a number of searches in Limerick city and county.

Nine males were arrested, they range in age from their 30s to their 50s, and are detained in:
 
Roxboro Road - 2
Henry Street - 4
Mayorstone - 1
Newcastle West - 1
Askeaton - 1
 
They are being detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended, under which they can be detained for up to seven days.
 

Note: No firearms were seized as a result of the searches.
