Gardai in Gort, Co. Galway wish to appeal for witnesses in relation to a collision at Ardrahan Village, Co. Galway at approximately 7.30pm on Friday, the 16th November 2012.
A male pedestrian in his 60’s was struck by a vehicle as he attempted to cross the road. He was taken to University College Hospital Galway and is described as being in a critical condition. The vehicle failed to remain at the scene.
Gardai wish to speak to the occupants of what is described as a white van, possibly a Volkswagen Caddy or similar and a black coloured car, no better described, that were seen in the area at the time.
