As part of the investigation into the possession and discharge of firearms at Grange Abbey Drive, Donaghmede, Dublin 13.
On the 8th September 2012 (and the activities of dissident republicans) following the murder of Alan Ryan, a male in his 40’s was arrested this afternoon in the Dublin area and is currently detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at Lucan Garda Station.

As part of the investigation into the possession and discharge of firearms at Grange Abbey Drive, Donaghmede, Dublin 13 on 8th of September 2012 (and the activities of dissident republicans) a search and arrest operation was carried out at locations across counties Dublin, Meath and Kildare this morning.
During the operation 13 males and 1 female were arrested. They are currently detained at a number garda stations in Dublin and Meath under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act,1939.
This mornings phase or operation ‘ Ambience ’ involves over 200 gardai, including members of the Special Detective Unit, Emergency Response Unit, Local Detectives, Uniformed Gardai and the Garda Dog Unit.
