Gardai in Carraroe are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Ballinahown, Inverin at approximately 6.30pm on the 31/10/12.
A male pedestrian in his 60’s was fatally injured when he was struck by a car. He was taken to University Collage Hospital Galway where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the car was uninjured.
This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination this morning by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
