Gardaí in Blanchardstown are investigating a cash in transit robbery that occured at Blakestown shortly before 8am this morning, the 12th November.
Two men approached the van armed with an iron bar and what is believed to be an imitation firearm and threatened a member of staff. They made their escape with a cash box in a car which has subsequently recovered and has been taken for technical examination.
There were no injuries during the incident.
Gardaí in Blanchardstown are asking for anyone who may have been in the area at the time and seen anything suspicious to contact them at 01 666 7000, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
