Gardai in Mayfield are investigating all the circumstances in relation to a stabbing incident that occured at Parkview, Wellington Road, Cork at approximately 6.25 a.m. this morning 7th May, 2012.
A 35 year old man received a number of stab wounds and has been removed by ambulance to Cork University Hospital. His injuries are described as not life threatening.
The scene is preserved for a technical examination.
Investigating Gardai are appealing to anyone who was in the Parkview area between 6a.m. and 6.30a.m. this morning to contact them.
