Investigation into death of female Sherrard Street Dublin 1

Gardaí from Mountjoy Garda station attended a residence at Upper Sherrard Street, Dublin 1 this morning (Saturday 19th May) at approximately 11am after receiving reports concerning a female (aged 37) with injuries.

She was removed to the Mater Hospital were she subsequently died.
 
All circumstances surrounding her death are being investigated. A postmortem is due to take place later on this afternoon. There are currently no plans to hold a press conference, and there have been no arrests.
