Gardai in Ballina are appealing for witnesses following a double fatal road traffic collision on the Killala to Ballycastle Road, Mayo on the 18th May 2012.
The collision between a motor cycle and a car occurred at approx 12.20pm on the 18th May on the Ballycastle to Killala Road close to Lacken.
A male and female were pronounced dead at the scene, they are believed to be the driver and pillion passenger of the motor cycle. The driver, the sole occupant of the car has been taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Forensic collision investigators are in attendance, the road is closed and traffic diversions are in place.
