Cannabis seizure and arrest in Kilkenny on the 10/5/12

As part of an ongoing investigation Gardai in Kilkenny have seized cannabis plants and arrested a male following the search of a house in Co. Kilkenny.

At approximately 5pm Gardai carried out a searched at a residential house in Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny.  During the search a cannabis ‘Grow House’ was discovered.  Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €320,000 (subject to analysis) were seized.
 

A man aged in his 20's was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Kilkenny Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.  He can be held for up to 7 days.
