Single vehicle fatal road traffic collision at Killaloe, Clare on the 12/3/12

Gardaí in Killaloe are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at New Street, Killaloe.

The collision happened at approximately 9.30a.m. this morning 12th March, 2012 when the car left the road and collided with a pole. The 83 year old male driver was fatally injured.  He died at scene and has been removed to Limerick Regional Hospital.  
 

The road is closed at this time pending a Garda Forensic Examination and local diversions are in place.
