Gardai at Dundalk are investigating the circumstances of a serious assault on a male in Mullaharlin Park, Dublin Road, Dundalk.
A male in his early 30's sustained serious injuries during an incident at a house at Mullaharlin Park during the early hours of this morning 11th March, 2012. He is currently receiving treatment at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
A man aged in his 30's was arrested at the scene by investigating Gardai and is currently detained at Dundalk Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The scene remains preserved for a technical examination.
