Gardai in Portumna are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Shannon Road, Portumna at approximately 2.30pm on the 5/3/12.
A male in his 50’s, who was the sole occupant, was fatally injured when the van he was driving collided with a wall. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body taken to Portiuncla Hospital in Ballinasloe.
The scene has been examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
