Fatal road traffic collision at Drumcor, Cavan on the 10/3/12

Gardaí at Cavan are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred shortly after 6.30am this morning, Saturday 10th March 2012.

A car travelling from Killydoon to Gowna lost control and left the road at Drumcor.  The male driver in his early 20’s was killed and his front seat male passenger (mid 20’s) received injuries not believed to be life threatening.  He was taken to Cavan General Hospital.

The road remains closed at present to facilitate a forensic investigation.
