Gardaí from the Organised Crime Unit, attached to the National Criminal Investigation Bureau at Harcourt Square have seized a firearm, ammunition and a quantity of controlled drugs following an operation in Palmerstown, Dublin 20.
The search took place on the 21st March 2012 at 10pm at a house in Palmers Court, Palmerstown Manor. Gardaí seized a revolver and ammunition as well as quantities of ecstasy, cannabis resin, cannabis herb and cocaine which, pending analysis may have a street value in excess of €500,000.
Three people were arrested at the scene, a man and woman in their 20s and a man in his 30s. They are all detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Lucan and Ronanstown Garda Stations.
