Gardai at Ronanstown are appealing for information following a serious assault at Wheatfield Avenue, Dublin 22, on the 11th June 2012.
At approximately 1am a 25 year old man sustained serious head injuries during an altercation at Wheatfield Avenue. He was taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital and later transferred to Beaumont Hospital.
A man aged in his 30's was arrested a short time later and is currently detained at Ronanstown Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The scene is preserved and a technical and forensic examination is ongoing.
Investigating Gardai are appealing for witnesses and in particular to anybody in the vicinity of Wheatfield Avenue between 1245am and 115am this morning (11/6/2012) to contact them.
