A male in his 20’s is due to appear before Court 4 (Criminal Courts of Justice) this afternoon, the 26th June 2012 in relation to this investigation.

Gardaí investigating the murder of a male in his 50’s on Camden Street on the 24th June 2012 have released one of the males from custody.
He was released late last night (25/6/12) A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. The second man is still being detained at Kevin Street Garda Station.

Gardai from Kevin Street investigating the murder of a male in his 50’s on Camden Street on the 24th June 2012 have arrested two males in their 20's this morning in the South Dublin area.
They are currently detained at Kevin Street and Pearse Street Garda Stations under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Act 1984.
The post mortem has been concluded and the results supplied to the investigation team.
Gardai wish to renew their appeal for witnesses who may have been on the Camden Street area between 3.45am and 4.30am, particularly around the pedestrian lights on Camden St and may have witnessed an incident are asked to contact the Gardai in Kevin St on 01 6669400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Gardai from Kevin St are investigating the circumstances of a suspicious death after the discovery of a male (between 30 to 40 yrs, he is still unidentified) on Camden St at approx 4.30am this morning the 24th June 2012, he received medical attention at scene, was taken to St James Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The scene is being preserve for a technical examination and investigations are on going.
