Fatal road taffic collision on the N8, Cork on the 19/6/12

A man has been killed following a collision on the M8 today, the 19th June 2012.

The man, whose age is not known, was fatally injured when he was struck by a truck at about 11.15 am close to Mitchelstown, Co. Cork.  He was pronounced dead at the scene


The incident occurred on the southbound lane of the motorway which is now closed to facilitate a forensic collision investation at the scene. The roadway is expected to remain closed for the next 2 to 3 hours.
