As a result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the county of Galway the Galway Divisional Drug Unit with the assistance of the Garda National Drug Unit searched a house in Cummer, Tuam, Co. Galway this evening Saturday 2nd June 2012 at approximately 5 p.m.
During the course of the search Cannabis plants with a potential street value of approximately €280,000.00 was seized – subject to analysis.
One man in his early 30's was arrested and is currently detained at Galway Garda Station under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
