Suspicious device discovered in Ennis, Clare on the 3/7/12 - 2 males arrested

Gardai from the Divisional Detective Unit, Ennis have arrested 2 males (early 20's) following discovery of suspicious device in a vehicle at Cappa Beg, Barefield, Ennis Co. Clare.

The discovery was made after a vehicle was stopped at approx. 1am on 3rd July 2012.  An Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was notified and arrived at scene and dealt with the device. 
 

The 2 males are currently detained at Ennis Garda Station under Section 30 Offences against the State Act.

 
The area has been technically examined and is now clear.
