Gardai in Ballinasloe are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the Kiltomer to Portumna/Laurencetown Road between 7.30am and 8am on the 25/7/12.
The collision occurred at New Gate, Skycar, Kiltomer, a female in her 50's was fatally injured when the car she was in collided with a wall. She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body taken to Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.
This stretch of road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
