Gardaí in Kilnaleck are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Aghnaskeagh, Mountnugent, Co Cavan at approximately 4.30am this morning 21/7/12.
A 21 year old female front seat passenger was fatally injured when the vehicle she was a travelling in collided with a tree. The 20 year old male driver of the car was injured (injuries not life threatening) No other person was involved.
The road between Mountnugent and Finea is currently closed to facilitate an examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
