Gardaí from Gorey investigating the circumstances surrounding a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision at Ballinatray, Courtown, Co. Wexford on the 15th of June 2012 have arrested a male in his late teens.
The man was arrested in the Wexford area this morning (24/7/12 shortly after 9am) in connection with this investigation. He is currently detained at Gorey Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Gardaí wish to renew their appeal for witnesses to this collision or to any person who may have been in the Ballinatray area between 10pm and 11pm on the day of the collision (15/6/12) particularly around Seamount, to contact the Gardaí in Gorey on 053-9430690, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Gardai at Gorey are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision at Ballinatray, Courtown, Co Wexford on the 15th June 2012.
At approximately 2230 hours a motor car collided with a wall before entering the water at Courtown Harbour. Two of the occupants of the car (both male aged in their teens) managed to swim to the shore. A third male, aged 19 years, was later taken from the water by coastguard and emergency services personnel. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital for a post mortem examination.
The scene remains preserved pending a full technical examination. Investigating Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
