Gardai in Limerick are seeking witnesses to a traffic collision involving a Garda vehicle and another car.
The incident occurred at Barrigone, Foynes, Co. Limerick on Saturday the 28th of January 2012 shortly before 11 p.m. The white coloured Garda Toyota Landcruiser, travelling towards Foynes, was involved in a collision with a red VW Passat which was travelling in the opposite direction.
Three Garda Members and two occupants of the Passat were taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital. They have all been released from hospital.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses, particularly anybody who may have noticed a red VW Passat in the area prior to the collision, to contact them at Askeaton Garda Station on 061 601630.
