Gardaí in Raheny are appealing for information from the public in tracing a valuable Tabernacle.
The Tabernacle was stolen from St. Brigids Church, Killester, Dublin 5 yesterday (30/1/12) between 12 noon and 3pm while the church was open to the public.
The Reliquary / Tabernacle has a very distinctive celtic design on the front and on the two sides. It also has double doors on the front and had been in the church for over 50 years.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Gardaí at Raheny 01 666 4300, the Garda Confidential Line 1 800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
